Dennis B. Chinn was born June 6, 1947, in Pratt, Kansas, he passed away with his wife and family by his side at Pratt Health and Rehab, Pratt, Kansas on August 3, 2026, the son of Herbert Paul and Bonnie Violet (Freeman) Chinn.

Dennis was the owner and operator of Chinn Trucking, hauling a variety of livestock, including horses, cattle, and buffalo. Dennis dedicated 30 plus years of hauling for Jeff and Randy Smith. He also enjoyed buying, selling and training horses.

On September 24, 1965, Dennis married Vicki Harding in Kingman, Kansas. Together, they shared 60 wonderful years of marriage, building a lifetime of memories in Pratt, KS. He attended 2 years at Pratt Community College then going on to graduate from Fort Hays with agriculture degree.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Julie Hill; brothers, Paul Chinn, Timothy Chinn; niece, Teryn Wood and nephew, Michael Chinn.

He is survived by his loving wife, Vicki Chinn; daughter, Rachel Chinn; grandchildren, Austin Hill, Tori Hill and Sebastian Chinn; and several cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held 11 a.m. November 6, 2026, at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave, Hutchinson, KS 67502 with Pastor John Hamm officiating. Memorial contributions are suggested to American Diabetes Association and can be sent in care of Hutchinson Funeral Chapel.
