Delores M. Hoefer, 91, passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Hospice House, Hutchinson, KS. She was born December 9, 1929 in Cherryvale, KS to Joe A. and Edith N. (Grey) Fernandez.

In 1946, Delores graduated from Cherryvale High School. She worked for Social Services in Independence, KS and worked in the nursery at Countryside Baptist Church in Hutchinson. She also worked for Doc Hoefers in Hutchinson. On December 31, 1959, she married James R. Hoefer in Raymond, KS.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband James and a brother, Lloyd Fernandez.

Delores is survived by her daughter, Cindy Flickinger; son, Joe Hoefer both of Hutchinson and a nephew, L.C. Fernandez of San Antonio, TX.

Cremation was chosen. There will be no services held at this time. Hutchinson Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice House and can be sent in care of Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave., Hutchinson, KS. 67502.
