David Wayne Logan, 59, formerly of Hutchinson, KS, was welcomed into earthly life and love on July 14, 2024, in Joplin, MO. David was a twin to his brother Richard Logan, the middle of 12 children and to proud parents Floyd Logan III, Barbra Louise Logan and Ruthann "Sweetie" Swanson.
David was born October 6, 1964, in Crawfordsville, AR. He had a childhood filled with family and friends who loved him. David attended Lincoln Elementary School, Sherman Junior High School and Hutchinson High School, graduating in 1983. After graduation, David worked with his Uncle Perry King and Aunt Ann King in the family business, The Hutchinson Truck Wash and Detail Shop. David worked for Pitts Plastic for 15 years as a warehouse picker.
David was a loving father of 5 children, 2 bonus children and 5 grandchildren. They all were the center of his universe. In David's spare time, he enjoyed fishing, spending time with family and friends, watching sports and attending his children's basketball, football and softball games. David loved life to the fullest and all the opportunities that were afforded to him.
David passed away into peaceful transition to the presence of his lord and savior, where family members were there to greet him at the gate, father, Floyd Logan III; mothers, Barbra Louise Logan and Ruthann "Sweetie" Swanson; sisters, Sherry Logan and Audrey Logan; brothers, Curtis Logan and Daniel Swanson.
David is survived by many family members; siblings, Sharlotte Logan, Mesha Logan, Floyd Logan Jr., Richard Logan, Regina Logan, Obery Logan, Antony Logan and Shirlinda Swanson; children, Teela Logan, KeyonDre' Logan, Anayah Logan, Malik Logan, Trayvon Logan, and 2 bonus children, Shayla Perkins and Jamarcus Davis; cousin, Lee Logan; a host of nieces and nephews; children's mothers, Christa Scritchfield, Irene Burton, and Shontina R. Tipton.
To help with his grandchildren's education fund, memorial contributions can be made to Teela Logan and sent in care of Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave, Hutchinson, KS 67502. A repass dinner for family and friends will be at 3:00 p.m., Friday, July 2, 2024, at New Resurrection Church, 1001 E. 3rd St., Hutchinson, KS.
