David Leroy Beachy, 84, passed away on September 10, 2025, at Kenwood View Health and Rehabilitation Center, Salina, KS. David was born on May 31, 1941, in Hutchinson, KS, the son of David M. and Susie (Borntrager) Beachy.

David graduated from Hesston High School and attended Hesston College where he also played basketball.  He received his bachelor's degree in social work from the University of Denver.  He was a social worker in Denver, CO and was the owner of Moon Mist Hotel in Meade, KS.  He was the director of Children's Choir and did missionary work in the Philippines for over 25 years. David was a Broncos and Chiefs fan.  On September 3, 1999, David married Magdalina "Maggie" Hora in the Philippines.

He is proceeded in death by his parents; brothers, Vernon, Alvin and Calvin Beachy; and a sister Nina Lee.

David is survived by his wife, Maggie Beachy; seven children, Jamie (Wael) Garas, Kristy (Dan) Beachy-Quick, Rebecca Beachy, Reden (Alexus) Beachy, Edison (Jornalyn) Beachy, David Joseph Beachy and Susie Beachy; a sister, Mary Ellen Diener; and seven grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave., Hutchinson, KS, with Pastor Terry Danford officiating.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral chapel.  The burial will take place in the Yoder Cemetery, Yoder, KS.  Memorials may be given to the Faith Baptist Church-Salina and can be sent in care of the funeral chapel.
