Daniel D. Moore, Jr., 46, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family, in Hutchinson, KS. Daniel was born September 3, 1976, in Bartlesville, OK, the son of Larry Collins and Tina Moore.
Daniel graduated from Nickerson High School in 1995. On February 11, 2012, Daniel married Jerica Moore (Bone) in Hutchinson, KS. Throughout Daniel's life, he enjoyed drag racing, motorcycles and was a great cook, especially BBQ. Daniel was the founder of Black Sabbath and Deceived Souls Motorcycle Chapters in Hutchinson, KS and helped create Team Do Work, a drag racing team. He also enjoyed producing music and coaching.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Tina Moore, uncle, Terryl Krokroskia and a sister, Simba Moore.
Daniel is survived by his father, Larry; bonus father, Daniel Sr.; his wife, Jerica; four sons, DeAndre (Carissa) Hedrick of Wichita, KS, Tyrese Moore of Westcliffe, CO, Daytryan Moore and Ethan Moore both of Hutchinson, KS; Bonus son, Jonathan Bone, Dodge City, KS; four daughters, Tesa Moore of Westcliffe, CO., Madison Atkinson of Hutchinson, Holly Dilbeck of Wichita, KS and Sawyer Barkely of Hutchinson, KS; one grandson, Kayden Hedrick; two granddaughters, Audrey Hedrick and Zayla Moore; one brother, Darnell Moore of Derby, KS and a sister, Jessie Underwood of Oklahoma City, OK.
Daniel's funeral service is scheduled at 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 3, 2023, at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave, Hutchinson, KS 67502, with Reverend Charles R. Crumble, Sr. officiating. There will not be a public visitation as cremation was chosen. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Ethan Moore Scholarship Fund and can be sent to Fidelity State Bank and Trust, P.O. Box 1120, Dodge City, KS 67801. A balloon release will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Please wear your Daniel strong, drag racing, or motorcycle attire. We encourage you to bring your race car or motorcycle.
There will be a benefit silent/live auction on Saturday February 4th starting at 2pm and 4pm. Followed by the auction there will be a celebration of life for Daniel at Moose Lodge at 1401 E. 1st Ave, Hutchinson, KS 67501. All are welcomed.
