Obituary


Clarence Dale Halfmann, 82 died on January 28th, 2018 and the Diversicare of Hutchinson and was surrounded by his family. Clarence was born on February 19, 1935 in Castleton, Kansas, the son of Martin and Martha (Berndsen) Halfmann.

Clarence graduated in 1953 from Castleton High school in Castleton, Kansas and he spent the majority of his lifetime in Haven and Hutchinson, Kansas where he worked at Cessna then Eaton for 42 years.

On August 1, 1959 he married Patricia Caspar at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Hutchinson, Kansas. They raised their two sons, Jim and Brian and two daughters, Mary and Theresa in the Hutchinson area.

Preceding him in death are his parents, and his loving wife Patricia and a daughter, Theresa Waters; sister, Joan DiNitto; brother, Martin Halfmann, Jr.

Survivors include two sons, Jim (Belinda) Halfmann, Centennial, CO and Brian Halfmann, Haven, KS: one daughter, Mary Halfmann, Overland Park, KS; one sister Judy Putnam (Randy), Wichita, KS; one brother-in-law, Joseph DiNitto; three grandchildren, Mason and Nancie Halfmann and Katherine Waters; one great grandchild, Goldie Mae Halfmann.


Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 9:30 A.M. on Friday, February 9th. 2018 at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Father Aaron Spexarth will be officiating.

The Funeral Mass will follow, on Friday, February 9th at 10 A.M.

Memorials may be made to the Encompass Hospice in care of Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave., Hutchinson, KS 67502.

Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5905 W. 4th Ave., Hutchinson, Kansas.
