Carol H. Wheeler, 79, passed on November 25, 2020 at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, Hutchison, KS. She was born April 12, 1941, in Denver, CO., the daughter of Carl and Mildred (Rennison) Lidberg. In 1959, Carol graduated from Lakewood High School in Lakewood, CO. and then attended Wichita State University majoring in Langue Arts. After college she worked for USD 308 as a English and Remedial Math teacher. On December, 24, 1975, Carol married Carl Hartman. He passed away in 1995. Carol loved music, reading and politics. She worked for the National Boy Scouts Office and she was a member and attended First Church of the Nazarene and National Educating Association. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, husband Carl Hartman and a brother James Lidberg. Survivors include her son, Stan (Akiyo Urano) Hartman and daughter, Carla (John) Smalley; a brother, Richard (Jeanne) Lindberg; a sister, Martha Lidberg and five grandchildren, Seiji and Kenji Urano and Isaac, Hannah and Samuel Smalley. A Memorial Service is pending and will be announced at a later date.
