Billie Jean Steele, 89, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Pleasant View Home, Inman, KS.  She was born February 13, 1934, in Ramona, OK to Orville and Dorothy (Davis) Symonds.

Billie married Billy Jack Ford in 1951.  He passed away in 1965.  Billie later married Steven H. Steele in August 1968 in Miami, OK.   He passed away in 2010.  Billie worked in retail most of her life.  She loved being with her kids and grandchildren.  She loved the Lord and loved to sing.

Billie is preceded by her parents; husbands, Billy Jack Ford and Steven H. Steele, and two brothers, Kenneth Symonds and Jimmy Symonds.

She is survived by her four children, Renia and Mike Clarkson of Hutchinson, KS, Rebecca and Mike Wells of Rogers, AR, Lora and Kelly Harper of Wichita, KS,  Steve and Candacea Steele of Timnath, CO; nine grandchildren, Michelle Cook, Joshua Clarkson, Lynn Center, Salena Phillips, Emily Powell, Audrey Richardson, Auhnna Lafever Caitlyn Steele and Alissa Steele; five great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 A.M. on September 30, 2023 at Hope Church, 1701 N. Main St., Hutchinson, KS.  Memorial donations may be made to Traditions Hospice , and can be sent in care of Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E 30th Ave, Hutchinson, KS 67502.
