Billie "Bill" D. Quillen, 80, died on Jan. 18, 2018 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 14, 1937 in Liberal, KS the son of Delmar and V. Loraine (Seaman) Ahrens.
In February of 1954 Bill enlisted into the United States Navy, Air Force. He was ranked as a Petty Officer 1st class and honorably discharged on January 27, 1975, after 22 years of service.
On January 7, 1983, Bill married Rita Le Sheddan in Hutchinson, KS. Bill also worked for the Department of Corrections in Hutchinson as a Deputy Warden for 17 years before entering retirement.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and two siblings, Don Ahrens and Pat Badacco.
Survivors include his loving wife Rita; three children, Rick Quillen, Washington St., Mike Quillen, Spokane, WA and Connie Quillen, Basstrop, TX; two siblings, Judy McFall and Gerald Ahrens both of Hutchinson; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Cremation has taken place. There are no arrangements at this time.
