Betty H. Baysinger, 79, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at Diversicare, Hutchinson, KS. Betty was born on December 16, 1942, to Kane and Mabel (Aumiller) Rice in Anaconda, Montana.

Betty grew up in Goodland, KS. She married William Leroy (Bud) Baysinger on January 7, 1961. They had two daughters, Lynda Sue Altvater and Cheri L. Baysinger. Betty enjoyed many activities such as bowling, bunco, bridge and golfing. She also belonged to several sororities.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Cheri Baysinger; a son-in-law, Russell Altvater two sisters, Nina (Mike) Mersch and Kathy McIlnay; two grandchildren, Aaron (Courtney) Altvater and Cameron Altvater; one great granddaughter, Adelyn Altvater and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bud; and a daughter, Lynda Sue Altvater; sister-in-law, Barbara Marsh and brother-in-law, Donnie Marsh.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 24, 2022, at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave., Hutchinson, KS. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until service time Monday, January 24, 2022, at the funeral chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Diversicare of Hutchinson and can be sent in care of the funeral chapel.
