Bennie "Ben" Gehring, 68, passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson, KS.

Ben was born November 21, 1952, in Moundridge, KS, the son of Raymond and Leona (Graber) Gehring. He graduated from Moundridge High School in 1970. He also attended NCK Technical College in Beloit and was a Boiler Operator. On July 26, 1975, he married Vicki Simmons in Moundridge. Ben was a member of First Mennonite Church in Moundridge.

Ben and Vicki's home and hearts were open for all their children and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, David Cook; sister, Beverly Reeves and multiple brother and sister -in - laws.

Ben is survived by his wife, Vicki; dozens of sons and daughter's; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; multiple brother and sister –in-laws; nephew, Tom and nieces, Misty and Stephanie and many other nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 1 – 7 p.m. with family greeting guests from 5 – 7 p.m. Thursday, October 14, 2021, at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave, Hutchinson. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 15, 2021, at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jerry Bowen officiating. Burial will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery. Memorial Contributions are suggested to Cancer Council of Reno County or St. Francis Ministries and can be sent in care of the funeral chapel.
