Ava "Jane" Campbell, 89, passed away Monday, April 26, 2021 at Mt. Hope Nursing Home, Mt. Hope, KS.

Jane was born July 7, 1931 in Eldorado, KS, the daughter of Theodore J. and Lucy E. (Barnes) McAlister. In 1949, she graduated from Hutchinson High School and later received her Associates Degree from Hutchinson Community College. On June 7, 1978 she married Thomas J. Campbell in Enid, OK.Jane worked in purchasing and sales for over 20 years.

Jane is survived by her children, Darrell (Linda) Miller of Ruston, LA, Doug (Heather) Miller of Newkirk, OK, Beth Miller (Les Wright) of Wichita, KS, David (Deb) Miller of Verona, IL, Julie (Scott) Welch of So. Hutchinson, KS, and Dean (Joan) Miller of Wichita, KS; three sisters, Georgia Maxwell, Judy Trimmell, and Kathy Maxwell; one brother, Roy McAlister; 12 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Thomas; and a brother Jim McAlister.

During Jane's life she had many interests and hobbies including gardening, painting, building doll houses and antique shopping with family and friends. Her family and friends were her greatest passion and she will be deeply missed by all.

A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5905 W. 4th Ave., Hutchinson, KS. Memorials may be sent to Phoenix Hospice or Mt. Hope Nursing Home and can be sent in care of Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave. Hutchinson, KS 67502.
