Adrian Montes, 65, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2025, Ascension Via Christi St. Francis, Wichita, KS.  Adrian was born on December 2, 1959, in Juarez, Mexico, the son of Francisco and Felicitas (Candia) Montes.

On August 22, 1978, Adrian married Maria L. Arevalo in El Paso, TX.  He worked for the City of Hutchinson as a water maintenance operator and retired after 30 years in 2022.  Adrian was a member of the Central Kansas Gun Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother; two sisters; a granddaughter, Ximena Hernandez and one nephew, Mundo Silva.

Adrian is survived by his wife, Maria; two daughters, Adriana Montes and Mirna (Rene Gutierrez) Montes; one son, Adrian (Mirna Bonilla) Montes Jr.; one sister, Linda Sifuentes; six grandchildren, Martin Ramos, Roman Gutierrez, Rolan Gutierrez, Francisco Hernandez, Mia Gutierrez and Kamila Hernandez; and three great grandchildren, Mariana Ramos, Eileen Ramos and Martin Ramos Jr.

A Parish Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave, Hutchinson, KS.  A Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 2, 2025, at the funeral chapel.  Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society and can be sent in care of the funeral chapel.
