Beverly (Bev) Ann Seifert, 79, passed away on January 5, 2021 at Hospice House in Hutchinson, KS. Beverly was the daughter of Phillip and Gladys (Howell) Eales.
Beverly graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1959. In 1958, Beverly tried to get a boys attention while at Gowans Stadium and ended up falling over the railing. Little did Beverly know, this boy was going to be the one she would spend the rest of her life with. They dated for two years and on August 7th, 1960 Beverly married Stanley Howard Seifert at 10th Avenue United Methodist Church in Hutchinson. She was a homemaker and involved with the PTA at her children's school. Beverly was a room mother, drove on countless number of field trips, volunteered at her children's school, was a picture chairman, and helped with school carnivals among many other activities during and after her children attended Farris Elementary School.
She hosted, along with her husband for over 40 years, Christmas Eve celebrations making sure that no one left without baked goods, or stockings with candy. Beverly was a perfect blend of June Cleaver and Rosanne with a quick wit, a strong sense of humor, firm love giving hugs and a strong sense of not judging anyone based on who or where they came from. Her home was always open to anyone; neighborhood children looking for a yard to play in, children who needed snacks or food, or friends and family who would spend the night with her kids or grandkids. Beverly and Stan also opened their home to friends of their children who needed a place to stay for a night or a bit longer. She was a lover of animals especially her four pugs. She was recently baptized by Eastwood Church of Christ.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, brother Clarence Eales, granddaughter Laura Ratley and grandson Tim Weaver.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Stan; Children Diann (Paul) Stropes, David (Brent Showalter) Seifert, Amy Ratley; grandchildren, Jennifer (Michael) Warner, Leah (Simon) Hiebert, Alexis Ratley; Step grandchild Kaitlynn Showalter fiancé Tyler Jenkins, great grandchildren, Wesely, Aiden, and Joel Warner, Macie Mcallister, Olivia Showalter Jenkins, and a sister Barbara Muir as well as many numerous nieces and nephews.
There will not be a public visitation or services as cremation was chosen. A private family and friends gathering will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made in her name to Hospice House or Eastwood Church of Christ, and can be sent to Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave, Hutchinson, KS 67502.
